The Ronald McDonald House Family Room in Idaho Falls provides comfort and support to families with ill or injured kids receiving medical care at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC). At the Family Room, families with ill or injured kids have a home-like environment just steps from their child.

The Family Room has 4 sleep rooms, a kitchen, laundry facilities, and more and is located inside the walls of EIRMC.
Any family with a ill or injured child at EIRMC is able to use the Family Room, whether they live right in Idaho Falls or have traveled from another area.

Family Room Wish List
Providing wish list items for the Family Room is a great way to support families with ill or injured children at EIRMC. Please check out our October wish list and pick up one or two items the next time you’re at the store! Items can be dropped off during the Family Room’s regular hours (9 am – 7 pm, 7 days a week). We also have online wish lists where items can be ordered and shipped to the Family Room at 3200 Channing Way, Ste 106 Idaho Falls, ID 83404.
Sign Up to Provide a Meal
Feeding families with ill or injured children at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center is a huge part of what we do at the Family Room. We provide three meals a day to families in the pediatric areas of the hospital. In order to provide these meals, we rely on support from the community.
You can help us ensure families are well fed and supported by sending meals to the Family Room. You can order from local restaurants or even provide gift cards, a great way to support local families. Sign up to provide a meal here.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Ronald McDonald House Idaho. They help us provide comfort and support to guest families at both the House and Family Room. Whether you are an individual looking for an ongoing opportunity or part of a group looking for a one-time project, we have a variety of opportunities and schedules available. We invite you to join our volunteer family!
Notes of Encouragement
Even the smallest gestures can go a long way to make a family feel a little less alone during their child’s medical fight. A great way to show your support is by decorating notes of encouragement and adding chapstick or lotion for us to hand out to families.
Finding comfort: The Family Room has 4 sleep rooms for families to stay in overnight, allowing them to stay near their ill or injured child without leaving the hospital. Families have a warm, comfortable bed to sleep in, as well as a shower, bathroom, and other amenities to help them feel at home.
Staying nourished: A huge part of what we do is ensure families are well fed throughout their long days. Between appointments, procedures, and long hours spent at their child’s bedside, staying well-nourished is near impossible. That’s why we provide regular meals, snacks, and other supplies so families can put all their energy into their ill or injured child.
Feeling normal: Having an ill or injured child in the hospital can be one of the most stressful times, so finding any sense of normalcy can make all the difference for families. That’s why we provide places for patients and siblings to play, family members to decompress, and for families to just be together. Providing just a little bit of normal alleviates stress and helps families feel whole.
