Every year, thousands of children and families travel to receive care at a Treasure Valley medical facility or at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC).
Through our Ronald McDonald House: Boise and Ronald McDonald House Family Room: Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) programs, we have been by their side, providing a caring and compassionate environment where families can rest and find support while remaining close to their hospitalized child.
In addition, our Ronald McDonald House Hospitality Carts provide a bit of comfort to families as they travel the hallways of Saint Alphonsus and St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital in Boise, as well as St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center.
“We have had the absolute pleasure of coming to this Ronald McDonald House for the past two years now. I cannot even begin to express how much this place and all of you mean to us. You all truly think of every detail. I always feel so safe here. Most importantly, I feel so supported and loved! Having a child with special needs and medical needs is so scary and unpredictable. When I’m back home, it is so easy to get caught up in the negatives of our new life. When I have to travel 3+ hours to get my daughter to her specialists, and it feels like a vacation, ONLY because of this House and this staff. You are doing more than something right.. you are softening a very scary and hurtful situation. That to me is priceless! Thank you for the shampoo, toothpaste, amazing gift bags, the best bed I have ever slept on, the fun and safe environment, the smiling faces, the genuine care, the cleaning supplies, the ability to do our laundry, the amazing meals, the thoughtful snacks, and all the love. We appreciate EVERY detail!”

“As a mom, there is nothing more overwhelming than having a child in the hospital. Staying at Ronald McDonald House Idaho has been such a blessing for our family—but what truly makes this place feel like home is the volunteers. Thank you for showing up, for caring, and for making this journey just a little big lighter for families like mine.”
